The photo is from my first volunteer project, consisting of English language courses for children aged 7 to 14. Specifically, my position as an informal teacher gave me the opportunity not only to look at things from the other side of the barricade but also prompted me to, together with games, learn at least one thing from the children – to accept each other as they are. In return, I received countless smiles and the opportunity from time to time, walking down the street, to meet them and hug them.
