#CultureEU in Brussels – Inspired by the European Parliament

As part of our journey within the #DiscoverEU, our youth group spent another inspiring day in Brussels – the heart of Europe and home to many of its key EU institutions.

The day began with a group gathering at the hostel, followed by a visit to the European Parliament, where the participants had the opportunity to take a detailed tour of the Parlamentarium Visitor Centre.
There, they learned more about:

  • how the European Parliament works and how decisions are made for all EU member states;
  • the EU’s role in promoting peace, democracy, and environmental protection;
  • the importance of active youth participation in shaping Europe’s future.

The interactive exhibitions and modern installations made the experience truly engaging. Many participants shared that it was their first time seeing how the European Union operates up close — and how many opportunities it offers to young people.

After the visit, the group explored Brussels city centre, tasted some delicious local specialties, and visited iconic landmarks such as the Grand Place and the famous Manneken Pis statue.

It was a day filled with learning, inspiration, and unforgettable impressions — a meaningful stop on our journey of discovering Europe through education, culture, and solidarity.

We are ready for our next adventure!
